The 2012 Emergence

Have you ever stopped to think about how life leaves us little clues as to where we are going? We know when we were born we weren’t given a handbook. That would have been far too easy. Instead we were given clues through mythology, biblical scriptures and even strange phenomena like the crop circles. I read somewhere that crop circles were messages to our unconscious. We weren’t meant to understand it on a conscious level. Another clue!

I’ve been really thinking about all the clues that have found their way into my life about this time leading up to the Winter Solstice of 2012. If I were to trace my life back to the beginning I can see a pattern. It is as if every little thing that happened in my life was leading me exactly to where I am now. It was a series of lessons and initiations that gave me deeper and deeper insights about my life. And when I ask the question “where are we going” I don’t get a straight answer! I get clues!

When I was a kid music was the energy that connected me to my soul which was the part of me that was highly intuitive and able to see life from a little different angle. Music was the outlet for my emotions but I found early on it wasn’t just my own personal emotions I was singing, it was the emotions of the emerging world!

I was born in 1961 at the beginning of the human spirit breaking free from old restraints. It was an age of love and rising consciousness in a time of war and confusion. There were two different energies at work. I believe the circumstances of my life were preparing me to go deep. I didn’t have time to waste! So the lessons were challenging and there was nobody who could really understand me and what I was trying to express. I stood out as different and the way kids dealt with differences were cruel. So I ended up developing a belief that I was somehow “less than!” Although it seemed like a huge cross to bear at the time, it was really a gift in disguise; because it caused me to overcome obstacles and search for the truth.

I learned to search for those clues and put them together and all those clues led me right up to the gateway of 2012. Although there is a lot of doom and gloom energy around 2012 I don’t subscribe to that belief. I see it from the perspective of the emerging feminine. Instead of looking at 2012 from a scientific or biblical perspective I look at it from an intuitive one. Because one thing I have learned in life is that my intuition is my most powerful resource. If I trust it, I won’t be misled. The key however is learning how to trust my intuition in the midst of the patriarchal, intellectual analysis which has always seemed dead set on squelching my instincts. In the sixteenth century women were killed for following their instincts. There wasn’t supposed to be a source more powerful than the authorities of the church or science. It was intuition that made a woman powerful. That was her defense in the world much as the intellect of man is his defense. But women were shamed, condemned and suppressed in a way that caused them to ignore their instincts. So learning to trust ourselves again is a big journey.

That has been my journey, the journey of the emerging feminine, bringing back what was lost.

Due to the suppression of the feminine the masculine energies became dominant and the world went out of balance. Now we have endless wars, hunger, homelessness, mass cruelty, corruption, greed, domination and control. We are taught to be robots in part of a system that serves a small select interest. We have lost our freedom and our planet.

As the feminine force on the planet rises up into her rightful place, the energy on earth comes back into balance. This is the rebirth energy of 2012. 2012, the end of the Mayan Calendar, represents the end of an age, and a birth of a new one.

We all know that birth can be tumultuous. It often comes with a lot of pain. The pain we experience in our rebirth as a planet is in the resistance to what is. In order for the new to be born the old must fall away. So this means patriarchal domination is in its end times.

We don’t know for sure what will happen because the details of the future are only given to us as clues, once again. The future is really in our hands. We know the course that we are traveling but we need to be able to read the clues in order to steer us to our highest destination.

We know that in order to move into the new world we must be willing to let go of the old ways. We must release our attachment to the trappings of the ego and join forces to birth the new world. The old systems have to crumble in order to erect the new ones.

As I look at the world from a distance it is easy to see that we are rapidly moving towards our higher destiny. This is the “Emergence” I sing about not in words but through sound vibrations, chants and tones. Like the crop circles come as unconscious messages transmuted through sight, these songs came to me as unconscious messages transmuted through sound. It tells the story of our emergence into our new form. The same story that is being told in so many different ways so that people of all languages and belief systems can get it!

Our evolution requires that we change our form to accompany the new energy of our planet. Just as human and animals have been making changes all along we are taking the next big leap of consciousness that will propel us into a whole new experience of life.

To me all the clues point to this major shift in consciousness that is underway. It is not coming! It is already here! Now all we have to do is be still and listen! Listen to the inner voice and look out for the clues.
