Prosperity In Our Current Economy

I recently wrote an article on “The Law of Attraction” which is a very important universal law to understand in today’s economy.  Fear and uncertainty is the prevailing energy that surrounds us and if not careful we can easily be absorbed into this vortex.

If you spend much time reading newspapers, magazines and listening to the news you are constantly bombarded with negativity around our economy.   With too much exposure to this negative energy wave you are likely to develop “recession consciousness” which comes with the belief that there isn’t enough.

On a daily basis I hear people talk about the economy from a doom and gloom perspective.  “I can’t afford this because of the economy.”  I even heard my seventeen year old son’s friend tell me it is impossible to get a job because of the economy.  I don’t think he was prepared for the “metaphysical MOM” speech that shot his theories out of the water.  I explained to him that there are plenty of jobs for someone like him out there, he just needed to attract them.

In these economic times some will hit rock bottom because they are victims of “the negative economy mindset.” However others will thrive, because there is always opportunity springing forth, especially when the mainstream mindset is gloom.

What I see happening in our world today is the crumbling of old systems.  The evolution of mankind can only happen when the old worn out ways of being in the world are replaced by fresh new ways.  With the change in presidency comes a shift in consciousness.  We, as a whole, have called in change.  We want change!  So we got it!  Change is upon us and those that embrace the change and see it as a positive force in our lives will prosper.

If you look around you can see industries such as banking, real estate, the stock market and the automobile industry are struggling.  It doesn’t surprise me a bit.  The crumbling of the Twin Towers in 2001 marked the birth of a new age.  We saw metaphorically the financial heart of the United States crumble.  Now eight years later the systems that are built on greed and corruption are struggling to stay afloat.

Modern business has lost its heart!  Systems are erected that treat human beings like numbers rather than people.  I find it so frustrating to call a credit card company for information about a statement only to get stuck in an automated system that has absolutely zero value for my time. How many marketing scams are out there in circulation that seduce consumers into their corrupt system in order to profit from our vulnerability and failure to read the fine print?

Internet marketing itself is fiercely competitive and often ruthless!  The average business person lacks ethics and integrity.  The pursuit of spiritual awareness is not the priority for most!  It is profit! I have found myself attending many marketing seminars to learn new methods for marketing my products Online and realize the primary marketing system is nothing short of hypnosis. In fact we’ve been using this system of marketing for ages.  We seduce buyers by appealing to their unconscious so their decisions are made almost automatically, without conscious consideration.  It may be great for the marketer, but is this what we want for our world?  Do we want to be sleepwalking through life or do we want to be awake?

What if what we see happening on our planet is people are beginning to wake up?  What a refreshing perspective!  Because when we wake up we no longer fall prey to the old systems.  We begin erecting new ones that consider the human being as someone to be valued, respected and honored!

The law of attraction is the most powerful tool we can use for creating success in today’s economy.  If we have a product or service that is valuable in the marketplace and can truly serve others than we simply need to go about attracting those who will benefit from what we have to offer.  We do this not only through learning how to be an attractive force but also to apply honest and ethical marketing strategies that attract those who can truly benefit from our products and services.

Competition is not an issue for those who are genuine and authentic.  Because in reality no two of us are alike so what we offer is also going to be unique.  Even if we offer the exact same product we still bring a unique element to the marketplace.

This idea is not only for the self-employed but also those looking for a better opportunity in the world of employment.  As the old systems crumble so do the old employer/employee relationships.  Employees are learning to value themselves more and see that they are really being contracted to do a job and should be treated as a valuable, intelligent, respected part of a team, rather than a slave to be harnessed and driven.  Slave drivers will find themselves scraping the bottom of the barrel for employees.  When I say this I mean they will attract people who don’t feel they are worthy of anything greater.

What really needs to change in today’s economy is our mindset! Now is the time to really put the effort forth to understand the law of attraction and how it works.  If we can understand that money is simply energy and how we spend our energy is extremely important we will be able to attract a lot more into our reality.  If our energy is spent buying ideas of lack and limitation we will only see such things in our lives.  On the other hand if we see the “illusion of recession” for what it is we can find the opportunity and the prosperity.

The first thing we have to do is ask ourselves what prosperity really means to us.  Does it mean going to the shopping mall and spending unconsciously on things we really don’t need?

The retail industry is suffering too and for a good reason.  The current economy is forcing people to re-evaluate their needs and their spending and this is a good thing.  Many people are now realizing that they really don’t need to fill the emptiness in their lives with retail therapy.  It is a much better use of their time and energy to actually go within and look at what is being avoided by heading to the mall.  Perhaps it is a time where outer development is being replaced by inner development. It doesn’t matter how great our wardrobe is on the outside, what is inside is where the real work happens.  An inner makeover has far more value in current times than the outer.  Appearances are deceptive but what lies beneath the surface is the only thing we can really count on.  Being authentic is the true key to happiness and success.

So as old systems crumble and fall away, new more authentic structures rise up to replace them.  If you are struggling in your life you may want to look not only at your belief system but the systems you are aligning yourself with.  Are they part of what is old and falling away, or part of what is rising up?  Align yourself with those that are saying “recession?  what recession!  I’m doing great!”  This is the attitude that will take you through the transition and into a life of true abundance and prosperity.
