As I settled into the Peacock Ranch, a 27 acre retreat, I began to immediately feel the urge to push forward with my music. I had let it go for the past two months while focusing on relocating. Once I began to integrate my energy into the new homestead I felt as if I had been moved here for reasons I couldn’t quite know yet. I had to trust in those reasons. One of them was to complete my Emergence 2012 project. In fact I didn’t even know Emergence 2012 was going to be the Title until this week. I new I wanted my new CD to be called “Emergence” but when I asked the powers that be what this was all about I was given a clear message that the Emergence is our awakening into the new age that is coming beyond 2012. 2012 marks a portal where the earth is going through a major shift. Nobody knows exactly what that shift is, but most agree that something major is coming.
2012 is the end of the Mayan Calendar and the Mayans were very knowledgeable about astrology, astronomy and tracking time. They tracked time all the way up until December 21st, 2012. The question most ask is why did it stop there? The simple answer is maybe they had to stop somewhere and 2012 is as good a date as any. But most feel it is far more complex than that. 2012 marks a time scientifically where the earth indeed is moving through a mass of energy but what is that energy? A researcher friend said that we will move through that mass of energy in a mili-second. He is not at all biblical but when he told me that my mind went to the biblical phrase “Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. ”
I remember back in the 90’s I studied Barbara Marx Hubbard s work and found it absolutely fascinating. She talked of this very thing, this very time. She paints a positive vision of humanity viewing us going into the Golden age of enlightenment. There is so much talk of doom and gloom and the final days of humanity.
The final days philosophy makes sense because of the horrendous destruction mankind has done to the planet. This has happened out of the selfishness, greed and unconsciousness of mankind. This is the result of our disconnection to spirit and to the earth. But there are two possibilities discussed by futurists examining the events of 2012. One is that we are heading towards our destruction. The other is we are in the process of our awakening to a “new human.” Of course there is a third belief that absolutely nothing will change, we will keep on going through the portal of 2012 just like we did in the time of Y2K. I’m on the plane to Sedona, Arizona listening to five of the songs I’m working on for the new Emergence CD. It’s good traveling music; kind of a ethereal realm meets technology. I suppose it is a marriage between the two.
Sometimes marriage can bring together two things from opposite ends of the spectrum and blend quite nicely. When it is two people trying to get along the difference can be what break the couple apart. But when you marry two different sounds, schools of thought or even fashion statements it can really work well. Perhaps if in our personal relations we would do better to appreciate the differences in our mate rather than searching for a clone of ourselves. If we had another self we would likely be very bored, because there would be nothing to spark new ideas or challenge us to try new things.
However I realize how much I do like my own company. When we get to this place where we really love to be with ourselves I think we have arrived. We have come to a place of self actualization. I love all those creative ideas always flowing through my mind, the music that comes through my soul and the crazy idealistic lifestyle I strive for. I love that I am always working to be better and better in everything I do. I love that I don’t believe in getting old, or fundamentalist religions. I love that I try to eat only what grows naturally and in its natural form. I love that I can talk to my son about pot and sex without it being any big deal for either one of us. I love that I have pursued my ideas and made a life for myself that allows me to travel and embark on these awesome spiritual journey’s. I love that I love! And because of this I love myself! Because of this I love others so much easier. And I can accept the differences in others with interest and curiosity. Read the rest of this entry »
I recently wrote an article on “The Law of Attraction” which is a very important universal law to understand in today’s economy. Fear and uncertainty is the prevailing energy that surrounds us and if not careful we can easily be absorbed into this vortex.
If you spend much time reading newspapers, magazines and listening to the news you are constantly bombarded with negativity around our economy. With too much exposure to this negative energy wave you are likely to develop “recession consciousness” which comes with the belief that there isn’t enough.
On a daily basis I hear people talk about the economy from a doom and gloom perspective. “I can’t afford this because of the economy.” I even heard my seventeen year old son’s friend tell me it is impossible to get a job because of the economy. I don’t think he was prepared for the “metaphysical MOM” speech that shot his theories out of the water. I explained to him that there are plenty of jobs for someone like him out there, he just needed to attract them.
In these economic times some will hit rock bottom because they are victims of “the negative economy mindset.” However others will thrive, because there is always opportunity springing forth, especially when the mainstream mindset is gloom. Read the rest of this entry »
When the movie “The Secret” came out it spread like wildfire across the Internet and the cat was out of the bag about the Law of Attraction. Ever since we’ve been seeing all kinds of expansion on the topic, such as “The Secret Behind The Secret” and “What The Secret Didn’t Tell You!” And also there is the angle that “There Is No Secret! We’ve Know This Stuff for Ages!”
“The Secret” was based on the “Law of Attraction” which launched into a new awareness once that movie was released. The Law of Attraction is a universal law that says “You attract into your reality everything that shows up.” This means what you think about comes about or what you focus on you create. It also means how you feel on an emotional level will attract into your reality a similar vibration, meaning if you are feeling low and depressed you will attract depressive people and circumstances into your reality.
